this, madame, is versailles!
It is 1770 and fourteen-year-old Archduchess Antoine of Austria has just arrived at the court of King Louis XV of France. She and the King's grandson, Louis Auguste, have recently been married and Antoinette has assumed her new role as Dauphine of France. It should be a perfect fairytale existence, but at Versailles nothing is what it seems. Though there are rules about practically everything, gossip is rife and there are scandals around every corner. Privacy is a luxury few people have, and everyone knows everything about everyone else.
