[/color][/b][/size][/font]all the members and staff require the utmost respect towards one another. we don't take any bullshit, and if you decide to take a turn that way - we won't hesitate in banning you.
two. this is an INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED roleplay site. this means we require at least 350 words for each post, and for them to be of decent quality. we completely accept and understand improvement in writing - but we expect to see that as time goes on. if this is too much for you, then perhaps this isn't the site for you.
three. being a historical site, it is the utmost importance that we keep that up. we understand that we all aren't victorian gurus, but we hope you know that there wasn't any electricity or any modern conveniences in the 1860s and that your characters uphold some social customs of that time. just remember the time period and stay in it.
four. this is a PG-13 site. in other words, keep it classy.
five. NO PLAGARISM OF ANY KIND! whether it's graphics, layout, admin postings, character threads - anything - we don't tolerate it. and we know other people on other sites, so don't think you'll be able to hide. just don't do it, people.
six. absolutely NO myspace, deviantart, flickr, scene kids. at all. the admins have final say as to whether or not a PB is acceptable. (just because a youtube 'celebrity' has an IMBD account does not mean that they will be approved). your character's display name should be your character's first and last name in lowercase. the password is "evening solace".
seven. the admins will place your character in a social class based on the details provided in the application. if you wish to see your character in a different social class please PM the admins to discuss.
eight. please make sure to post in third person. we like to create a cohesive style of writing here at in silence sealed, and though it is easy to slip into writing first person, please try to refrain from it.
nine. no godmodding! this means you begin to control the other character's actions and dialogue in your own post. ask your rp partner if it's okay before you do so.
ten. the maximum icon is 100x150 pixels, and for the signature - just keep it reasonable. if it's obnoxious, you will be sent a PM to change it.
eleven. registered accounts MUST start an application within one week of joining. accounts that have not done so will be deleted. all applications that have not been completed within a week (this includes both works in progress and edits requested by the admins) will be archived. once your application is completed, a staff member will review it as soon as possible (typically within 48 hours). do not spam the c-box or PM the admins about your application, this is just annoying and doesn't do you any favors.
twelve. the only place unapproved characters can post is on the "requested connections" board to discuss wanted characters with other members. any other posts will be deleted without warning.
twelve. we have a laid-back posting structure on this site. this means that we do not require a post a day or members to log in. please do not pester your RP partners about posts. if you have not heard from them within a month it is acceptable to ask if they still wish to continue the thread.
