[/size]short(ish) history:
To say that Laurel Bennet is trapped between two worlds would be an understatement. Orphaned at a young age she was raised by her aunt and uncle at their cottage in the country. Needless to say it was far from idyllic. Her aunt and uncle thought of her as a burden and made sure to remind her of this, which extended to how her cousins treated her as well. Most of the time Laurel tried to avoid them - climbing trees, disappearing into the fields, hiding in the attic; anything to avoid the constant torment they put her through. Her eldest cousin, Robert, was most often the instigator, taking particular pleasure in making her cry. As they aged his interest in her changed and he, and his parents, determined that Laurel should marry him. Terrified, Laurel fled to the attic and made a discovery: her grandmother was still alive in London. Laurel was desperate and did the only thing she could think of, she attempted to make contact. In the end Laurel fled to London and now lives with her grandmother. That detail, however, is not known. Those that know Laurel believe that she is the orphaned niece of Catherine Alcott. Her entire existence is a lie and she is terrified of being found out.

Pretty much anything. I think someone who might have known her while she lived with her cousins would be interesting, but it would have to be a vague connection. I'm open to anything.
